Spotlight on Zebras: Awareness Campaign of the Regroupement québécois des maladies orphelines – February 2021

Participants from across Quebec took part in the virtual activities presented as part of the LUMIÈRE SUR LES ZEBRAS campaign from February 2 to 28, 2021. This campaign aimed to highlight the high resilience of people affected by rare diseases during the darkest moments of the pandemic. It was also an opportunity to ask the Minister of Health, Christian Dubé (MSSS), to implement a concrete action plan to support the Rares community in Quebec.

To bring this campaign to life, ALICE created the graphic identity for the SPOTLIGHT ON ZEBRAS theme and developed a downloadable toolkit for anyone who would like to join the virtual activities of Zebra Month and World Rare Disease Day on February 28th.
The participation of ambassador Jean Airoldi, designer of a zebra mask, was confirmed.

On the political front, the participation of Maryline Picard, Parliamentary Assistant to the Minister of Health and mother of a child affected by a rare disease, was confirmed in a Webinar led by Dr. Bernard Brais, neurogenetics.

Media Relations activities and social media publications generated more than four million impressions. The publication of a letter from the RQMO in the (Debates) section of LaPresse+. has also been confirmed.
